There has been many disputes between religious believes and scientific theories about the origin of earth, nature, and the soul. What do you believe happens to the soul once the body passes on?
Firstly, I feel that everyone is entitled to their opinion and I know that religion is a touchy subject, so dismiss my opinion if you want, I won't be offended in the slightest. As far as I know, there isn't too too much science regarding the soul and afterlife so this is mostly based on opinion and 'personal experience'.
I, personally, believe in reincarnation. That is when the body can no longer function well enough to hold a soul, and the body dies, the soul moves on and spends it's next lifetime in another body. So if someone (plant or animal) dies, the soul will be transferred to another body, likely of a different species. The purpose of this 'recycling of souls' is to ensure that each soul learns it's lessons. How wise you are will depend on how many lives you've been through and what you've experienced in each of those lives. Every hardship you experience is a lesson for later lives. Once a soul has lived enough lives to be truly wise and that soul has learned all of the lessons that it needs to (or can) learn in this world, it moves on. I don't know what this next level is, though, and I don't know if the souls continue to learn and grow, or remain there to rest in peace. That is the mystery of death. Maybe there is a heaven or hell. Maybe there is another planet. Maybe another universe. But wherever these souls go after earth, I believe that they must learn their lessons through many lives to do so.
While I may not believe in a specific entity, and do not consider myself to be directly religious. I do believe in the things that have been done. I think it's important to realize that with the passing of a life, it is essentially just the passing of a body. The soul of a human can live on within loved ones through their words, actions, philosophies, and ideas. I believe that once you "die" you're still alive in spirit, touching living people when they most need it.
I have always seemed to believe in reincarnation. When death comes, the body does die, true. But energy doesn't die. It has to go somewhere, right? Plants, humans, animals; They all are made up of energy, and are all a potential place for a soul to live for another lifetime.
I have been brought up to believe that after death our body remains on earth while our soul goes to heaven, and I would like to believe that to be true.
Honestly not many people agree with me but I think once you die you just get buried and you stay there. I do not think anything happens with your soul. I think you die and your dead for good and you stay underground. I think what you see is what you get and there is no after life or anything.
I don't believe in religion, heaven, hell, or the soul. When your time is up and you pass away, that is all. I do not believe there in an old man up in the sky who somehow created the entire world in 6 days waiting to welcome you to the promised land if you lived a good life, and I do not believe in a devil or a hell where you burn for eternity. When you die you are mourned, buried and that's it.
I believe that we all are resurrected into another life and in every life we are something opposite of what we were in our other lives

ReplyDeleteI'm not really very religious but I do believe that the sprit does stay around and I do believe in reincarnation.
